‘The power of Table’ is a statement we hear often, and a lot of us will give testament and examples that proves it true. This played out by Sandown 150 and Bryanston 128 joining efforts and expertise to give Dorandia Children’s Home in Pretoria North a much-needed renovation.
A few months earlier Sandown raided a Bryanston business meeting where a project idea and its challenges was being discussed, and a joint project was born soon thereafter. Fast forward to December and the renovation project was completed.

Through the employment of local labour, the building was repaired, waterproofed, and prepared for painting. On the 12 December members and guests from Sandown and Bryanston arrived bright and early for the massive task of completing the job in one day, and we are proud to report that it was a job well done.
The day was finished off with a burger braai for the children and staff at the home, as well as presenting them with Christmas gifts to spread the festive spirit. The donation also included extra supplies that were requested so that they can do extra improvement work going forward.
It was an extremely positive end to an otherwise turbulent year and displayed the impactful change that can be made when Tablers get together.
