Sandown 150 in our partnership with ICAP has raised just over R720 000 for to support two charities’ vital work this year.
Each year ICAP hosts an international Charity Day. All commissions earned via trading commodities and equities on this day are donated to pre-selected charities for the year ahead. Throughout the years, over R3 billion has been raised internationally and R74 million was raised at the last Charity Day in December 2020. R720 000 was raised in South Africa which is paid to Sandown 150 to manage and ensure that it serves its purpose.
Sandown has had a successful multi-year partnership with the South African ICAP office. Sandown serves as the custodians of the funds and ensures that projects are identified, scrutinised, and ultimately completed effectively for the benefit of those in need.
This years’ beneficiaries are two organisations that are vital pillars of their respective communities, namely Wings of Inspiration in the West of Johannesburg, and The Almond Tree in the East.
